A Dated Bathroom Transformed with Modern Luxury

Before the renovation, the bathroom featured an aging vanity, basic fixtures, and old tile flooring that no longer met the homeowner’s needs. The space felt cramped and dated, lacking the bright, upscale look the client envisioned. The goal for this Bristol bathroom remodeling project was to introduce luxurious materials and improve functionality while maintaining a warm, inviting feel. The new vanity area is now a stunning focal point of the bathroom. We installed an Elizabeth 60-Inch Single Bathroom Vanity topped with a genuine Carrara marble slab, instantly elevating the space with its classic elegance and providing ample counter space. The rich cabinetry finish of the vanity complements the neutral gray walls and new flooring, while multiple drawers and cabinets offer plenty of storage to keep toiletries organized and the countertop clutter-free.

Above the vanity, an Ivy Bronx “Chrisna” LED vanity mirror from Wayfair adds a contemporary touch – this sleek mirror features integrated lighting that casts an even, flattering glow, making daily routines easier and more luxurious. To complete the vanity ensemble, we fitted a Delta Dryden widespread faucet (3551-MPU-DST) in a coordinating matte black finish. The faucet’s high-end design and smooth operation bring both style and reliable performance to the sink area. Together, these elements create an inviting and upscale vanity space that truly anchors the bathroom’s design.

The Remodeling Process: From Demo Day to Dream Bath

1. Demolition and Preparation

As with every full-scale bathroom transformation we take on, the first step in this Bristol bathroom remodeling project was a complete demolition of the existing space. Our team carefully removed the outdated vanity, tile flooring, fiberglass tub, plumbing fixtures, and wall coverings—stripping the room down to its bare structure. This clean slate allowed us to properly assess and address any underlying issues while preparing for the installation of all-new luxury finishes. 2. Post-Demolition Installation

Following the full demolition, our team began the installation phase—turning a blank canvas into a sophisticated, spa-like bathroom right here in Bristol, CT. We started by leveling the subfloor and installing the Earl Gray waterproof luxury vinyl plank flooring, offering the look of real wood with the durability required for everyday bathroom use. The new KOHLER Archer bathtub was set in place, and we lined the shower walls with Wetwall ProDesign panels—a low-maintenance, marble-look solution that brings both elegance and water resistance. Next came the installation of the Elizabeth 60-inch vanity. We completed the transformation with the sleek HOROW one-piece toilet, a smart and space-saving upgrade, and mounted the Ivy Bronx LED mirror to tie in modern tech and ambiance. 3. Luxurious Tub and Shower Combination

The bathtub and shower area received a complete transformation focused on comfort and style. We replaced the old tub with a sleek KOHLER Bathtub which offers a much better bathing experience. For the surrounding walls, we installed high-end Wetwall panels from the ProDesign collection (sourced locally at Ray’s Lumber in Bristol) – these large-format panels feature a gorgeous white-and-gray marble pattern that gives the look of luxurious stone without the upkeep of real marble or grout. The Wetwall system is completely waterproof and very durable, ensuring the shower walls will remain pristine and mold-free with minimal maintenance for years to come.

4. Finishing Bathroom Improvements

The finishing touches of this remodel combined practical improvements with stylish design. We replaced the cold, white mosaic floor tiles with Earl Gray rigid core luxury vinyl plank flooring from Floor & Decor, immediately warming up the room with the look of natural wood in a trendy gray hue. This luxury vinyl plank is 100% waterproof and extremely durable – perfect for a bathroom, as it can handle moisture and heavy use without warping or staining. The wood-look planks also feel more comfortable underfoot than ceramic tile and require far less upkeep (no grout lines to clean!), giving the homeowners a floor that is both beautiful and easy to live with. With new contemporary brushed-metal wall sconces flanking the mirror to provide layered lighting, and a fresh coat of soft gray paint on the walls, the entire bathroom now feels open, airy, and refreshingly modern. Every fixture and finish — from the tub to the lighting — works together to create a harmonious look, reflecting the careful planning that went into this remodel.
